Mediacap Acquires Relatable a Leading Global Influencer Marketing Platform from Sweden.
WARSAW, STOCKHOLM – Mediacap (a subsidiary of Posella Limited) announced that it has finalized its agreement to purchase 100% of the shares in Swedish company Jefferson AB – operating under the brand Relatable ("Relatable") and offering international influencer marketing solutions. The transaction was carried out through SPV Ravenmedia Sp. z o.o.
Relatable owns and operates a technology platform that allows execution of international marketing campaigns at scale, producing content created by millions of creators from around the world. Since 2016, Relatable has carried out over 20,000 collaborations in more than 50 countries, with brands such as Ecovacs, Uber, Google, Klarna, Xbox, Samsung, Lego, Sonos, Microsoft, Netflix, Ted Baker, Siemens, Ralph Lauren, Lumene and Adobe.
This transaction is Mediacap's first investment in Western Europe and the second outside of Poland, as part of its strategy for geographic diversification. The global influencer marketing market is estimated at 18 billion USD in 2023 and is the fastest-growing segment of the marketing sector. Experts predict that by 2030 it will reach 139 billion USD, which translates to a 33% CAGR in the current decade1.
"Relatable is a modern, scalable martech business that, thanks to its unique technology, allows clients to carry out effective influencer campaigns worldwide. Two years ago, it was bought by one of the world's leading live-commerce players. After the parent company changed its strategy, a unique opportunity emerged to quickly repurchase this entity on very attractive financial terms - we seized it, investing not only in a great company but also diversifying geographically, which is strategically important for us." – stated Jacek Olechowski, Partner and CEO at Mediacap.
"Relatable perfectly complements our investments in the influencer marketing segment, where we are already a market leader in Poland (Lifetube) and Bulgaria (Talentmedia). We now have a new offer for Polish brands wanting to conquer Western markets, but also access to unique technological tools. In turn, thanks to us, Relatable gains access to a strong IT and internal services background in Poland at competitive rates" – added Marcin Jeziorski, Partner and VP at Mediacap.
"Julia Undin, Sarah Greenberg, and Julia Christenson are three charismatic leaders with whom, thanks to the restored independence of the company and an easily scalable business model, we intend to rapidly accelerate expansion, to the benefit of clients and the Relatable team." – stated Edyta Gurazdowska, Partner and VP at Mediacap.
"We are pleased to have gained a strong investor who, thanks to their knowledge of the industry and financial support, will allow us to fully fulfill Relatable's potential. This is great news for all our stakeholders, including clients, creators and team." – said Julia Undin, Managing Director of Relatable.
